Fitness Fridays

Welcome back to Fitness Fridays!

My set workouts have not gone well this week. I didn’t manage to complete the full week of the Blogilates calendar or the 30 Day Waist Trainer challenge. I didn’t have much time so I just concentrated on some random workouts including the one I’m talking about in this post.


This week I attempted another BuzzFeed workout challenge. It was the 21 minute cardio challenge but there are many other challenges on the same page.

21 min cardio

I’m going to admit this now: I hate burpees. Why were they invented? They’re horrible.

Other than the evil burpees I really enjoyed this challenge. It was relatively quick and I really felt like I was working out when I did it. I only did it 3 times during the week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) but I felt like I was still burning calories. It was also a nice way to pick myself up after that disaster of an exam on Thursday. This cardio workout just made me feel better.

BuzzFeed even tells you how to make it easier (which involves a nicer version of the burpee) and harder (by increasing the time of each move and/or the number of circuits). I just did the challenge as it’s stated in the picture and it worked really well.


In other news, I’m halfway through the Journey to Splits challenge and it’s going really well. My hips feel so much better and the muscles in my legs aren’t resisting the stretches as much.
