WWW Wednesday – 6th April 2016

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words. (Formally hosted at Should Be Reading)

The only rules are to answer the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

Northanger AbbeyNorthanger Abbey by Jane Austen

I’m not going to lie, I hate this book. This is the third time I’ve read it and I still don’t like it. At least I managed to stay awake through the first three chapters this time though.

I’m not going to spend much time on this novel since I’ve read it before and I don’t like it. I’ve got to read it for university otherwise it would be gathering dust on my shelf.

I’ve read 23% so far and I hope to have it completed by Saturday.

TripwireTripwire by Lee Child

I’ve read 10 chapters of this.

I’m really enjoying it so far. I loved the opening chapter because the action starts right away and I can’t wait to get into the rest of the novel.

It shouldn’t take me too long to finish this book since I’ve already read half of it.

Recently finished:

Nothing. I’ve started new books this week and I’m still reading them both.

What I’m reading next:

Frankenstein 1818Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

I love this book. This will be the 5th time that I’ve read it and I know that I love it. I’m reading it as part of my Gothic module at university and I can’t wait to study it again.

It shouldn’t take me too long to read since I’m so familiar with it.

Note: I’m reading the 1818 edition since that’s the original edition (and the best!)

the night managerThe Night Manager by John le Carré

I’ve just finished watching the BBC adaptation of this book. I decided to watch it because I love Tom Hiddleston but the story is just so good. I know that the TV show has a different ending to the book too so watching the show hasn’t spoiled the book for me.

I can’t wait to get into this book because I know that I’ll be hooked from the beginning. If this book is as good as I expect it to be then I’ll have to read more of John le Carré’s novels.

What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments!
