2016 Favourites

2016 faves.png

I’m a bit bored at the moment so I thought I’d take some time to reflect on my 2016 favourites.

This is just meant to be a bit of fun and some categories will have more than one answer. Frankly, this is a lazy post because there are only three days left until Christmas and I’m too ill to write up a decent post at the moment.

Book I’ve Read (So Far)

  • He, She and It by Marge Piercy
  • Zofloya by Charlotte Dacre
  • Animal Farm by George Orwell
  • The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick

Poem I’ve Read

  • Paradise Lost by John Milton

They, looking back, all the eastern side beheld
Of Paradise, so late their happy seat,
Waved over by that flaming brand; the gate
With dreadful faces thronged, and fiery arms:
Some natural tears they dropt, but wiped them soon;
The world was all before them, where to choose
Their place of rest, and Providence their guide:
They, hand in hand, with wandering steps and slow,
Through Eden took their solitary way.

  • The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
