December 2018 Recap

I can’t believe it’s the end of 2018. It was a weird year. January seemed to last for four months, the summer was incredibly hot in the UK, and the last few months have dragged. December was a nice month but not eventful in any way, shape, or form.

I spent two weeks at university working on my thesis and then two weeks at home working on my thesis. Christmas was a nice break from the daily grind and I had a really lovely few days spending time with my parents.

Books I’ve read:

  • Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
  • Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
  • Artemis by Andy Weir
  • The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
  • Flappers and Philosophers by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan
  • Magnus Chase and the Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan
  • The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup

December Goals

  • Review books read in October and November
  • Reread and review Rebecca and other books from earlier in 2018
  • Blog consistently (at least 3 times per week)
  • Read 4 books
  • Review 4 books

January Goals

  • Read Lord of the Rings
  • Read 4 books
  • Review 4 books
  • Read at least two books from my Classics Club list
