January 2019 Recap

The first month of 2019 is over and it has been a quiet month for the most part. I think it was a good month though.

I spent the first weekend of 2019 in London which was a wonderful way to start the year! I went to see Doctor Faustus at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse and I love the play so much and the performance didn’t disappoint me.

I spent the rest of January ill and working on my thesis so it wasn’t much fun. I gave up reading Lord of the Rings because I just couldn’t concentrate on it. Maybe I’ll have better luck when I’m feeling better.

Books I’ve read:

  • The Changeling by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley
  • The Secret of Chimneys by Agatha Christie
  • Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
  • The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu
  • The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

Currently reading:

  • Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman

  • Read at least two books from my Classics Club list

February Goals
