The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This post is an opportunity to recap the past week on my blog and in my personal life. It’s also a chance to set up some goals for the upcoming week and talk about anything else that I want to talk about.
See the rules here.
Personal
This week was fun!
I attended a guest lecture/seminar on American Horror Films (honestly, being a PhD student is the best), went to a reading group where we discussed the works of female Gothic writers, had a supervision meeting, contributed to a blog post about spooky art, and read some fantastic books. I also started AcWriMo (Academic Writing Month) and my goal is to write and edit a 15,000-word thesis chapter by the end of November.
I enjoyed this week a lot. It’s the best week I’ve had in a while.

Around the Blogosphere

- An Historian About Town – Historic Costumes at the Victoria and Albert Museum
- pace, amore, libri – Nonfiction November 2019 recommendations
- The [Blank] Garden – I too have my vocation,

Things I’m Into This Week
- The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star (Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star) – I, like most of the internet, have been hooked on this series. I don’t even know why because I don’t follow either of them and I’m not that interested in make-up. I obviously just like the drama of it all.
- 1/? Vol.5 by Def. – I swear that Lim Jae-beom is trying to kill me via the medium of music. I love the music he makes with GOT7 but his solo mixtapes are just so good and they always drop when I need them the most. It’s super chill and I’m in love with it.
- Buzzfeed Unsolved – It was Hallowe’en this week so I binge-watched a lot of Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes. I think my favourites are Alton Bridge and Colchester Castle. I love the Colchester Castle episode because it’s always fun to watch Americans in Britain.

The lecture was super relevant to my thesis too even though I work on Renaissance literature 🙂

Good luck with AcWriMo! It’s the month of writing challenges it seems!

November is the month of writing challenges! Thankfully, AcWriMo isn’t as intense as NaNoWriMo 😊
